ARISE CIRCLES

Arise Circles are the cornerstone of our programming. They are peer groups for girls ages 11–18, offered at the Arise house and various community locations. Circles meet every other week and are led by 3 background-checked and trained adult volunteers. All Circles include a meal, time for connection and cover various topics to help lead girls towards a bright future.

Topics covered include identity, mental health, holistic wellness, boundaries, social media safety, relationships, life skills, and college/job prep. Circles run from September to June with a couple of summer meet-ups! .

LIFE-SKILLS CLASSES

Life Skills are an essential part of Arise’s mission to equip and empower girls for the future.

Alongside Arise Circles, we offer monthly Life Skills classes that are open to all girls in the community. These hands-on, practical workshops take place at the Arise House or local venues and are designed to build confidence and independence.

Topics range from cooking, financial literacy, and job preparation to self-defense, car care, and basic home repair — giving girls the tools they need to thrive in everyday life and beyond..

THE CLOSET

At Arise, we believe that every bright future begins with access to the basics. No girl should have to worry about having clean clothes, hygiene products, or school supplies — these are essentials that all girls deserve.

That’s why we created The Closet, located inside the Arise House. The Closet offers free seasonal clothing, feminine and personal hygiene products, and school supplies to girls in our community, ensuring they feel confident and cared for in every season of life.

Beyond meeting daily needs, The Closet is also a place of celebration. It hosts special events like our Back-to-School Giveaway and Homecoming Dress Shopping Experiences, giving girls not just resources, but joyful memories and a sense of belonging.

ARISE CELEBRATIONS

Arise Celebrations are joyful, year-round gatherings that create meaningful opportunities for girls to come together, grow, and thrive. These events are designed to foster connection, build confidence, and remind girls that they are part of a supportive community.

Some Celebrations are open to the public, serving as a welcoming introduction to Arise and an invitation for new girls to get involved. Others are designed specifically for current Arise participants, offering safe and fun spaces to deepen friendships, celebrate personal achievements, and strengthen their sense of belonging.

Whether it’s a holiday party, a seasonal event, or a special milestone celebration, each gathering is centered around encouragement, empowerment, and joy—because every girl deserves to be celebrated.
